The future of contemporary political sciences is inconceivable without the affirmation and consolidation of comparative methods of analysis. In this regard, knowledge about the phenomenon of comparative politics is auspicious. Moreover, this knowledge must have a practical purpose both in the context of identifying the means of action, as well as increasing the efficiency of the students' action to identify the particularities of comparative methods in political analysis. Ultimately, comparative politics results from the interaction between a number of component elements. From this perspective, the meaning of the "Comparative Politics" discipline is quite conclusive. The curriculum status for the discipline "Comparative Politics" represents a content plan and didactic strategies related to the theory of the application of comparative methods in the analysis of politics and international relations, related to the evolution and affirmation of peace and security on a global and international level. The purpose of the discipline is to assimilate a body of knowledge about the use of comparative methods in the analysis of politics and international relations, the formation of beliefs, conceptions and doctrines regarding comparative methods in political science and the development of skills to live in accordance with the principles of security and good neighborliness. The objectives of the course constitute the preparation of students for a successful career in the dynamic professional area of ​​political activity, in the field of international relations in the conditions of the need to use comparative methods in the analysis of politics and international relations, including theoretically and practically, between different states on the international arena. The methodical base represents the set of methods, techniques and procedures regarding the approach to the content units. Beneficiaries: the discipline is taught to students of the International Relations specialty, year III (semester VI). Teaching is done in English.
