The course aims to familiarize students with the role, functions, structure and activity of the main international organizations and their acquisition and use in analyzing and explaining the activity of the international organizations of the main theoretical points of study specific to the discipline.

Use of fundamental concepts from realistic, rational-functionalist theories, the English school and constructivism to describe and explain the role of international organizations in dynamics, trends and events in international politics;

Elaboration of research projects using the specific theoretical framework of the study of international organizations;

Acquiring and understanding the concepts of international organization, international institution, international regime, international / world order, international society, international system; familiarizing students with the members, structure, classification and functioning of international organizations;

Use of the methodology specific to the theories of international relations in the analysis of international organizations, institutions and regimes;

Comparative use of realistic, rational-functionalist and constructivist theories for evaluating the viability and success of some international organizations and institutions;

Use of the fundamental concepts specific to the discipline in interpreting certain situations and international organizations and structures.

The objectives of the course are to prepare students for a successful career in the professional field dynamic of international political activity under the conditions of developing political analysis skills. The methodical basis is the set of methods, techniques and procedures for addressing content units. Beneficiaries: The discipline is taught to students of International Relations, 2nd year (semester III). Integration of the course unit (discipline) into the curriculum: The discipline "International organizations" is the component of a block of fundamental course units (code S), oriented towards the accumulation of knowledge and the formation of basic skills, integrated into general competencies. This course is taught in English for one semester of the second year of study.

The curriculum examined relates to national and university normative acts:
- Education Code of the Republic of Moldova, approved on July 17, 2014;
- National Qualifications Framework in Higher Education;
- Regulation for organization of studies in higher education based on the National Credit Loan System, approved by order of the Ministry of Education no.1046 of 29.10.2015;
- The AUM Regulation on the organization of the assessment of student learning activity.
In the process of elaboration of the respective Curriculum, the following factors were taken into account:
- The need to adjust the educational offer to the current labour market requirements in the field of political sciences;
- National and international experience in the elaboration of the curriculum in the discipline "International organizations";
- Integrating theory with practice.
