"Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial" is one of the core disciplines for students studying at International Relations Specialties. The course "Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial" is part of the group of disciplines dealing with the study of foreign policy of states, bilateral and multilateral relations between different actors, including the partnerships that are created in this area.
This discipline systemizes students' knowledge in the field of international relations. In knowing the activity of diplomatic protocol and ceremonial, we are referring to: development of diplomatic communication skills, familiarization with the diplomatic protocol and ceremonial environment, use of diplomatic protocol and diplomatic correspondence techniques, ability to create a portfolio for organizing a protocol event, analysis of diplomatic interactions in bilateral and multilateral format.
The scientific character of the university course seeks to create a luggage of knowledge, to develop attitudes and aptitudes for the training of future specialists in the field of foreign policy.
The study of this course is an instructive, analytical and synthesis process that continues and complements the knowledge gained in the general history, the theory of international relations and political science, the course of Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial, having an interdisciplinary character but also a pronounced specialization. As any historical-political discipline also has an educational, civic, national character, because Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial has also economic, cultural, social, security, strategies and other implications in international life.
The course is developed taking into account the content of disciplines of international law (international principles to be observed by subjects participating in international life), international relations theory, international security institutions, international security, globalization, international organizations etc. and is based on a thorough analysis of Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial. Students follow the course to understand, structure and analyze with concrete proposals on the evolution of Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial.
The curriculum’s status of "Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial" discipline is a plan of contents and didactic strategies regarding the phenomenon of the diplomatic protocol and ceremonial, its evolution and assertion. The purpose of the discipline is to assimilate a baggage of knowledge about diplomatic protocol and ceremonial. The objectives of the course are to prepare students for a successful career in the professional field dynamic of international political activity under the conditions of developing political analysis skills. The methodical basis is the set of methods, techniques and procedures for addressing content units. Beneficiaries: The discipline is taught to students of International Relations, 3rd year (semester V). Integration of the course unit (discipline) into the curriculum: The discipline " Diplomatic Protocol and Ceremonial" is the component of a block of fundamental course units (code S), oriented towards the accumulation of knowledge and the formation of basic skills, integrated into general competencies. This course is taught in English for one semester of the third year of study.

examined relates to national and university normative acts:
- Education Code of the Republic of Moldova, approved on July 17, 2014;
- National Qualifications Framework in Higher Education;
- Regulation for organization of studies in higher education based on the
National Credit Loan System, approved by order of the Ministry of Education
no.1046 of 29.10.2015;
- The AUM Regulation on the organization of the assessment of student learning
activity.
In the process of elaboration of the respective Curriculum, the following
factors were taken into account:
- The need to adjust the educational offer to the current labor market
requirements in the field of political sciences;
- National and international experience in the elaboration of the curriculum in
the discipline "International Security: Theory and Strategies";
- Integrating theory with practice.
